What you need to complete your Chase SelectSM application
To make your application process for a Chase Select Private Student Loan a
little smoother, have the following information available when you apply:*
Full name
Social Security Number
Date of birth
Permanent
address and number of years there
Home telephone number
Monthly rent or
housing payment
Employment information
Gross Annual Income
Reference: name, address and telephone number of the nearest relative or friend
not living with you (this person must be different than your cosigner's
reference, if applicable)
Chase Select Private Student Loans are available exclusively to Chase customers. Chase requires that either the student borrower or the cosigner be a Chase customer with a qualifying account or loan relationship.
Qualifying Chase accounts and loan relationships include:
– Savings, checking or deposit account
– Existing loan account (including a Chase student loan)
– Credit card account
You can apply online or contact a
Chase representative toll-free at 1-800-487-4404. If you fill out your
application online and you need to stop before it's complete, you can save your
application and finish it later. Saved information will be available for 30
days. After you submit your application, Chase may send you a letter
or e-mail indicating what additional information, if any, is needed to evaluate
your loan application.
*Important Information: Private loans, like the Chase Select loan, can be used when federal loans, scholarships, grants and other forms of financial aid are not sufficient to cover the full cost of education.
Chase Select loans are subject to credit approval, receipt of a completed and signed loan application/promissory note and self-certification form, verification of application information, acceptance of loan terms, and school certification of loan amount and student's enrollment at a Chase Select-participating school. Either the student or cosigner applicant must have a qualifying Chase account or loan relationship in order to be eligible for a Chase Select loan.
Student borrowers and cosigners are equally responsible for repayment of the loan
Chase currently services its Chase Select loans and does not sell them to another lender.
